Information:
Silicon bronze cast at Berkeley Art Foundry. In a letter to the foundry 1977, Mayhew wrote: “Two casts of this sculpture now exist. The original from which the plaster was made, the A/P in other words, and the one you have cast, which I shall call 1/4.” Mayhew had planned a series of four (pus the AP), but the foundry had difficulty locating the plaster mould. Mayhew wrote, “I would much appreciate it if you would search further – this is an important piece to me.” But the foundry burned down in 1978, before anything was ever found.
