Information:
"Warrior" was shown at an exhibition in the Fine Arts Gallery, UBC, in November 1961. It was sold to the University of Oregon Student Union in Eugene, Oregon, in 1963, and in that same year, was stolen from an outdoor plaza at that university.
Measurements of "Warrior" are based on an extant prototype, also black compound stone, an earlier, rougher version that was abandoned, probably because of a calcium problem in the mix which caused seepage. It was not signed or dated; but photographs of "Warrior" show that it was very close to this prototype.
